I started to use MAP during my triathlon training last year. From the first use (on a 40 mile bike ride) I noticed less fatigue during my ride and my recovery was significantly easier! During my first race with MAP, I took 2nd in my age group. This is an amazing supplement that is easy to take before during and after any training or event! MAP has changed the way I look at training. Thank you for this great product.
Thank you, Body Health! – Jeremy Hagerman

I am a dancer. My main area of training is Ballet, although these days dancers are required to do Contemporary, Jazz, Broadway, or whatever if you want to work.
The other thing is, I am also 59 years old. Technically, I should have retired a long time ago....therefore, I cross-train for dance heavily.
MAP has been an integral part of my diet regimen for about 3 years now. I find that MAP allows my body to:
1. Absorb food fuels I eat quickly so the energy they provide is quickly available to me when I have to dance/train.
2. Muscle recovery is really fast, along with healing from minor "tweaks"...and the inflammation caused by any injuries never gets very pronounced.
Over the years, we have all encountered many products for athletes that were supposed to "help you perform better"...but MAP actually does it, and it seems to do it by working WITH your body naturally, with lasting benefits. - Robert M. Warren

When I began using Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP), I was doing a 10k training program and doing upper body strength training 4-5 days per week. Immediately after beginning my use of MAP, I noticed the impacts right away. My recovery time decreased dramatically and I was able to train harder each day out because of MAP. Despite doing cardiovascular training several days per week that took me to my lactate threshold, I never experienced lower body soreness or pain. Prior to using MAP, I routinely would experience pain and soreness in my legs after hard interval or hill workouts. I also made the largest upper body strength gains of my life while using MAP. I significantly increased the number of pushups, pull-ups and sit-ups I could do while using MAP. MAP helped me break through several training barriers that I thought would take years to break.
I continue to use MAP in cycles today. I used it in preparation for my marathon last summer and saw amazing results with my recovery from long runs and difficult interval workouts. There were days when, after doing a 17 or 18 mile training run and using MAP post-run, I could have gone out the next day to max the Army Physical Fitness Test. I am currently using MAP to assist with my recovery from the gunshot wound I suffered to my right forearm.

In my 40's and 50's,nutrition and training approach are critical.
Muscle mass and connective tissue becomes the limiting factor for the
older athlete. R]ecovery from hard workouts is the key. With MAP, I find I can train harder and recover better than with a basic high carb, high protein regimen. I have been able to build muscle mass
and minimize tendon soreness with MAP.

"I am really happy with my Ironman Arizona performance. I did a PR and qualified for Hawaii by long shot in the 40-44 age group.
I am a firm supporter of MAP and utilized the product during the IMAZ taking 3 every two hours. I have been incorporating the product into my training since its inception at the Ralph's 2004 half Ironman and it has helped me immensely.”

Two years ago when I had shoulder surgery I was told I probably would not bench press over 300 lbs again without experiencing severe pain. Before MAP I was stuck at 275 lbs max on my bench press, which always caused several days of discomfort. Now I am benching 310 lbs, and other than normal muscle pain, my shoulder feels great.
In fact, my overall recovery time on all my muscle groups has improved, and I no longer feel the need to take days off from training because of the soreness. Before MAP I was so fatigued after my self-defense classes that I would not do anything else after I got home and needed to rest at least two days because of the soreness.
Now, I will go to two and sometimes three classes a day and wake up the next morning with very little soreness. I feel my overall health has improved and for the first time in about 10 years, I have not needed to take any sinus/allergy medication this spring and summer.

Well, MAP got me thru a very tough day in Kona this past weekend. I took 7 or 8 in the morning and then more at about 6 pm . Had good energy all day long and the best part, I didn't wake up the next morning feeling like I'd been shot. Nothing like having help to get through a 19 hour day!
Thanks,

"I had a successful day in Kona last weekend, winning my age group by 39 minutes. It was my slowest time in an Ironman, by far, and no records were broken, but I was very happy with the win on a tough-conditions day. Must have been the MAP!
"Thanks for all your help and support. I'll be putting MAP into my training plans again next season."

I am THRILLED with the MAP. I have found a huge difference already in my athletic performance and recovery. I don't want to run out of this product during my deployment in Iraq, and I don't want any lapses between shipments. Is there anyway you could automatically send MAP on a certain day each month and charge it to my credit card? Please let me know if any arrangement is possible - I never want to run out of this wonderful product!!! Thanks!!!! — SSG PL, US Army - 1ST Engineer Battalion

I started taking MAP on a Thursday and continued to take it Friday, Saturday and Sunday and ran Sunday with a group of guys. This group of guys has a couple of pro's running in it. I rank 7th nationally in my age group - elite master and I came in #3 of the group right after the two pro's.
Also, I've had pain in my hamstring muscle. When I come down on my right leg, the pain will radiate from the hamstring to the front shin area. When I ran Sunday (after taking MAP 4 days), I didn't have this hamstring pain.
Usually when I run, I limp about the first 1 ½ - 2 miles and the pain would go away but when I'd stop, the pain would come back. I've been training every day now and the pain hasn't come back. — J.M.

During the race, although really hot and tired, MAP worked like a charm. I felt that the added strength during the later stages of the race were absolutely helped by MAP. When things really got tough, it gave me the added confidence to push harder that I normally would. Thanks for helping me achieve a great (and surprising) result.
I also noticed at the end of the race, my average BPM was lower by 11 (normal for me is 156, this year I came in at 145). This is a real change for me! — P.S.

Saturday I rode for 26 miles and then ran easy 2 miles. Yesterday, was only a touch sore, yet ran for 6 miles and finished strong. Today, feel great and my legs feel good enough to run. Both days, 5 pills prior to and after. What is so amazing, usually my legs are dead after this type of workout and my quads would be screaming at me. Not now. Thanks so much.
Yesterday, several of us met and did our own mini tri, for about 2 hours. We used this as a training workout. My first race is 6/19. Any way, I felt great yesterday and to day I feel even better. My legs are not tired a bit, thank you MAP.

I was just down in Solvang CA for a century ride yesterday, and then a 10 mile trail run this morning in the hills, and I have never felt so good , and so quickly recovered. Friday is the first day I took any pills whatsoever. Saturday, 9 before the century, 9 immediately after, and 9 about 6 hours later. (And I was wishing I had some MAP with me for part-way through it).

I attempted to tire myself out and really see if I felt anything from using the product. So far, I am impressed! I will continue to try it out and then I think I may have to try and figure out how to finance keeping the product in my training arsenal. I have used 60 tabs so far and really could have used more. At this rate I will use a bottle every two weeks, or two bottles per month. I will keep you posted on more results.
Sincerely,

During the race season last year around May 2003, I noticed that my run portion of the triathlon s was slower than the past few seasons. I was still winning the 30-34 age division in several sprint triathlons, and even finished 2nd overall at the Crystal River Triathlon in May of last year. As the season progressed, and I began increasing my mileage and training for Ironman Florida, I really slowed significantly due to a hamstring injury. I was only able to run approx. 4 miles without pain and then would be brought to a walk. I immediately went to physical therapy twice a week for two months leading up to the Ironman, getting ultrasound and massage work done. I felt good for a little while, however during Ironman Florida in November, I was brought to a standstill by mile three and hobbled the remainder of the marathon. Upon returning to Jacksonville, I continued therapy and still couldn't shake my hamstring injury. I was becoming very depressed and started to believe that I would never be able to run again. I read an article on MAP in Triathlete Magazine, and read a testimony of an athlete who claimed that they had a chronic hamstring problem healed and that they were healthier than ever. I immediately ordered the product without hesitation and started to see results within a week. I continued massage therapy combined with the MAP and am now 100% healed and very excited about achieving my goal of qualifying for the Hawaii Ironman in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho in June.
Thank you very much for creating such a wonderful product and for the many years spent researching. This is by far the best product out there for endurance athletes and those suffering from chronic injuries. — PW

What a great product. I'm now running injury free for the first time in a long time. Plus, for both Iron Man New Zealand and Australia this year, MAP made my day much easier. And, after being on my feet and climbing scaffold for 19 hours, I really noticed I wasn't as beat up the next day. See you on the road. — M.R.

I am currently giving the MAP a try after reading your article in Triathlete. I have to admit that I am seeing power in my legs on the bike that I have not seen in several years.

I am a 66-year-old triathlete with 13 years in the sport. Recently, I attended a Tri Camp in Florida and used MAP for the first time that week. I was a bit nervous about trying something new, so I took only half the number of tablets recommended.
I had a great week of intensive training - about 30 hours total, 300 miles bike, 7500 meters swim, 25 miles run. This is about double my usual training week, and I felt full of energy each day. — S.I.

A success update:
Today I ran a local "Brookhaven Lab Earth Day" 4 mile race. I hold the age group record of 44:12 (2003), and this year I broke my record completing in 38:30 This is hardly an amazing pace, but it is the best time that I have ever managed for 4 miles!

I ran the Motorola marathon a week ago Sunday, in record time for my new 60 year old age group. I started taking MAP on the following Monday. I started at 3 pills per day and after our conversation via e-mail I upped my dosage to 5 on regular workout days which are usually 2 hours plus. Saturday and Sunday which are longer I took 7 before and 7 after my exercise. Rode 53 miles Saturday, ran 2. Sunday ran 18.2. My recovery is incredible it seems. L.R. Kansas (Weight of 127 pounds was used to determine dosage)

Just wanted to tell you the results from the product was not just a flash in the pan for me. I'm learning how to use it and it continues to amaze me at the lack of lactic acid build up after a long workout.
Last week was the final week's preparation for Boston I did my usual Saturday thing, 53 bike, 3.1 mile run. Sunday I ran 20 and afterwards, played golf with my wife, and had no stiffness. I also threw in a speed workout in the last 6 miles of the long run. I was tired, and tired on Monday, but the product doesn't promise perkiness after a long workout, just recovery. I've settled in on 3 pills on regular workout days, then for long days 3 before I take 4 after. Even when I have rest days, I take 3 pills. They are just part of my regular vitamin and supplement routine on a daily basis. — L.R.

Then, today, 9 in the morning before the 1 hr 20 min run, and another 9 after it. And I feel great. Thanks for the guidelines.
And, it being Monday morning, I'm so impressed at how fresh my body feels after a really intense training weekend! — J.S.
