2006 update: We athletes are very good at denial. We'll deny a pain that may be the beginning of an injury and we're certain to deny getting older and slowing down. And, in both cases, it works for awhile. But in the latter case, Mother Nature is a powerful force and, at some point, we older athletes turn our attention to looking for the magic bullet that will let us continue our winning ways. Well, I've found mine.

MAP, as part of my training routine, allows me to maintain my training at a level that keeps me in the game. Consistency in training is critical and since using MAP, I've been able to maintain the same type of daily schedule that I kept years ago, when I was a younger athlete. Mother Nature may be powerful, but so is MAP.

Oct 2004 Update: I had a successful day in Kona last weekend, winning my age group by 39 minutes. It was my slowest time in an Ironman, by far, and no records were broken, but I was very happy with the win on a tough-conditions day. Must have been the MAP! Thanks for all your help and support. I'll be putting MAP into my training plans again next season.

August 2004 Update: I won again, last weekend at Vineman Half Ironman. I've also been able to beat the age group below me. MAP is doing its job!

I will be 60 years old in July, so am always looking for an edge in helping my body recover quickly from a hard workout and get ready for the next one. I'm also coming off an injury that has made consistent training difficult, which always takes more out of one's body.

Having taken MAP now for several months, I find that I'm able to do back-to-back hard workouts much more easily. This weekend I did a 70-mile hard mountain climbing ride and followed that on Sunday with an 11-mile high-quality run.

I'm thanking your product today after the particularly hard training week last week. This is my first day off and I'm feeling far less stiff and sore than I had anticipated.

I've won my age group (since taking MAP) in St. Croix (May 1) and Buffalo Springs (June 20).

As you'll be happy to hear, I attribute much of my ability to train and race at a high level to MAP.

Thanks,

Cherie Gruenfeld
