Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP) Winner's Circle

Steve Thomas

Winner at Hickory Knob Olympic Triathlon (age group 45-49)

When I first read about MAP, I was skeptical, yet intrigued as I read the testimonials of elite athletes. My current solution was varied protein drinks, yet I must say my choice of protein negatively affected my system … which my wife would attest to!

Calendar year 2004 was my first year doing triathlons, and at age 46, I recognized that in order to be successful, preparing myself properly to offset the rigors of training and racing would determine how well I would perform throughout the year.

I started taking MAP 8 months ago, and after finishing numerous races, I am positive that MAP was instrumental in my success. Below are races I competed in and upon review, you will see a definite pattern of improvement:

  • First triathlon: Rock-n-Roll Half Ironman: 5:43:00
  • West Pt. Lake Olympic Triathlon: 4th
  • Tri the Parks Triathlon / Russell State Park : 2nd
  • Wisconsin Ironman: 12:43:53 – finished
  • Hickory Knob Olympic Triathlon: 1st!

Needless to say, I am optimistic about 2005, and have laid out my race schedule that includes Ironman Coeur d'Alene, along with numerous sprint and Olympic races. As I prepare for next year, one ingredient that will not change is my reliance on MAP.

Thanks for bringing MAP to market.
