Greetings,

Greetings! Congrats to all who finished Ironman 70.3 at Oceanside. BRRRRRR. Water was 53 degrees! • MAP as a substitute for dietary protein

In the medical journal, Advances in Therapy (July/August 2003), a study was published that used MAP as the sole and total substitute for dietary protein in an athlete who walked 344 miles in 24 days across desert sands and carrying a 48 pound backpack.

The subject was a healthy 51-year old white female who walked across the Taklimakan Desert a distance of 344 miles in 24 days. Though many have tried, she was the first to ever cross this desert on foot. During the crossing, weather conditions were extremely variable, with temperatures ranging from - 5 degrees centigrade at night to 30 degrees centigrade during the day.

Does your scale test your body fat?

Does your scale test your body fat? When losing weight by diet or increasing training, if body fat is not going down along with poundage loss, you may be losing lean muscle (and bone, and organ), thus breaking yourself down.

Did it ever happen to you that your weight was about what it’s always been, but your clothes fit differently or your muscle definition was not nearly the same? Again, you may be losing muscle and gaining fat, thus going backwards on the health scale.

BioPainAway - All Natural Pain Relief

BioPainAway works fast, is non toxic, and helps almost any pain. It contains a combination of ingredients to really get the pain to go away.

    Customer Testimonial:

Works great on all sorts of pain. I recently cut my hand very deep and required internal and external stitches. Once my hand was healed, it would hurt after a long day of use, and I didn’t have full movement of it. Applying BioPainAway made a huge difference. I was able to use my hand with little to no pain with full movement. On another occasion, I was moving some furniture and bruised up my legs. I applied BioPainAway to them, and the soreness was gone. My daughter, who is a competitive gymnast uses it all the time on her ankles and arms after hard workouts with great results. This is all I use now for my pain needs. I would highly recommend it.

Leslie Myers - Winner at Lake Placid 2005 (age group 35-39)

Thank you for bringing such a wonderful product to the market. 2005 has been a very successful year for me in triathlon. I have won my age group in three large races and had relative success in early season races when I was just doing them for fun.

I started taking MAP in the summer of 2004. I noticed right away that I was able to recover from hard training workouts and races. Best of all, those nagging aches and pains and injuries have subsided— specifically the chronic achilles pain. I have also found that I am able to race more frequently- something that I love to do. I have competed successfully in 2 Ironman distance races this year and am racing Kona at the World Championships in October. I have also completed three HalfIronman races and numerous short course and running races.

How to do 10 IRONMAN in a year without injuries

    by Luis Alvarez
Winner at Ironman Arizona and Honolulu

You might not want to do that many Ironman races in a year, or do you? For those who want to do one, or two, or more than that in one season, whatever your reasons are it is very important to keep it injury free, so for that, I want to share some useful pieces of advice that have helped me:

First of all, take MAP as indicated. This will really help, otherwise your muscles, tendons, ligaments and your whole system won’t recover as fast as you need.

Then, a very important combination of good nutrition, the correct amount of rest and the correct amount of exercise up to the point that your body works in harmony.

The two main mistakes most athletes make are: train too hard, and rest too little. By training too hard, I mean doing "too much too soon" . More does not necessarily mean better, so take it on a gradient and progress one step at a time as your body gets stronger.

The other issue is REST. Many find this very hard but if you don't give your body the correct amount of rest, the body will break down. Remember, most of us work, shop, take care of kids, etc. in addition to the training load. Your body needs to recover, so the amount of rest should be enough to accomplish that. For most, this is 8-10 hours a night of restful sleep.
