Captain Ed's Journal
Greetings again. Well, no surprise here: MAP has helped me to one of my best performances of the racing season.
I ran a 13 mile trail run with 3500 feet of climbing (yes, there are a lot of those up here in Alaska ) on Saturday and finished 8 th of 18 in my age group. Consider though that the top 5 Overall finishers were the top 5 finishers in my age group. I finished in 2:19:25.
I was 28 th out of 66 men who competed in the race, and felt strong all the way through the race. I was able to start running my normal race pace, between 7 min/mile and 7:15 min/mile immediately after completing the climbing portion of the race, which was over the first hour of the race.
My weight is down to around 207-208 lbs. and I think I am as strong as I have ever been. I the last 2 weeks I completed a max set of 22 pull-ups and 20 chin-ups, and am seeing strength gains in all areas of my training.
While I have worked hard to get back in shape and recover from my injury, I would not be at the point I am now, 6 months after getting my cast off, without the help of MAP. It is simply the best recovery product out there.
Thanks!
V/R,
