QUESTION: When I hear things like amino acids and protein supplements I automatically think steroids and pro baseball players (McGuire, Bonds) and the like. Is this product at all similar to what they take and are there any potential harmful side effects?

ANSWER: MAP is protein nutrition and not a drug. There are no drugs of any kind and NO steroids.

    Feel Strong, Recover Better

Prior the Honu Half Ironman here in Hawaii, I doubled my intake of MAP to 10 tablets in the morning and 10 tablets in the evening for two days prior and two days after the race.

Not only did I start the race feeling strong, I recovered better than any other race I've done. This product is fantastic. I often wonder how good I could have been had this product been on the market 25 years ago when I started racing seriously. The time difference between my time and the second place Hawaii finisher in my age group. 43 minutes!!
    Thanks, Gil

    Craving Sugar and Carbs?

Question: I rode with a gal named Gloria this past weekend who complained that she is always craving sugar and carbs. She asked me what to do?

Answer: Carbs are necessary for endurance athletics. But ...

    Century Ride

I just rode in my first (HILLY) Century ride (for Diabetes) it was awesome. I even went off course 6 miles!I just can't believe how MAP helped me recover from this 7 hour ride! I took 8 pills before...4 midway..and 8 to follow. The next day I was biking again, and swam..no pain..no stiffness..that is a "wow" moment for me. How am I supposed to "rest" when my body can keep going?!!! I'm 47. Hey. 10 years ago I'd still be recovering a week later!!! Awesome.
    Jules

Train for Aerobic Capacity and Lactate Threshold

By Kelly Keane - Winner at Houston Marathon and Texas Man Triathlon

The 10k may be considered a "short" race for many athletes, but it is also a very intense and fatiguing event. To prepare for a 10k race, the athlete needs to train his aerobic capacity and lactate threshold to its maximum capabilities. There are no real secrets to a 10k training program. Below, I have outlined different training sessions, the purpose of each, as well as tips for success.
