| Final Tune-up for Ironman |
 |
by Cherie Gruenfeld, World Hawaii Ironman Age
Group Champion You're very close to being ready
to step up to the Ironman start line, confident in
your preparation. How you handle the final few
weeks are as important, perhaps more important,
than what you've accomplished over the prior months
of training.

MAP works! I was impressed with the
results. Dramatically improves recovery time. - For
the past several months, I have had excellent
results, thus have now begun to prescribe it to family
and friends who also are experiencing good results. -
Good for me. I do not digest protein and now get
great results. - Have been running increased mileage
injury free for 8 months. Currently running on
rutted, gravel roads on assignment in Eastern border
region of Afghanistan. 2 time Ironman triathlon
finisher....57 y/o....entered in Ironman Western
Australia 2005. - I am an intermediate weight lifter. I
have noticed significant gains in strength. - I think
the product is great - I used MAP last year at
Wildflower and would not really want to do the race
without it. MAP is as vital a training component
as a wetsuit of a pair of running shoes - Injury free
training- marathons/triathlons - It helps with energy
for my workouts and recovery afterwards, and it
keeps my mom off my back that I'm getting sufficient
protein.

| My goal going was to improve upon last year... |
 |
My goal going into Lake Placid was to improve
upon last years 4th place finish. I realized that to do
this, I had to train harder and most importantly
recover faster. I took 10 tablets of MAP before
and after every workout.
As a result, I arrived in Lake Placid feeling stronger
than ever and recorded
the best Ironman finish of my career, second
place. MAP has
made
a tremendous difference in the amount of volume and
intensity my body can handle. I highly recommend it
to any athlete seeking peak performance. -Kim

Going the Extra Mile |

by Kim Loeffler, 2004 Ironman National
Champion Going into the season, I had two goals;
to improve upon last years finish at both the Lake
Placid and Hawaii Ironman. I realized to do this I
needed to accomplish two tasks, train harder and
recover faster. Most athletes are aware that to
achieve peak performance you must train hard.
However, hard work is not the only requirement for
success. Peak performance is achieved through a
balance of hard training and adequate recovery. It is
the rest period where regeneration occurs and we
get faster and stronger. Without adequate recovery,
peak performance can not be achieved. Listed below
are some fundamental recovery strategies that have
become integral components of my annual training
plan.
Hydrate well pre, during and post exercise. Opt for a
sport drink with electrolytes and consume at least...
