Our MAP athletes had terrific results at the
Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. Kim
Loeffler was 8th place Pro Women, Kevin Moats won
the 50-54 year old men and set a new age group
world record, and Cherie Gruenfeld,
with 3 broken ribs only a month before the race, also
set a new world record and got 3rd place in the 60-
64 women.
Very well done all!

| Off Season Protein Needs |
 |
For most of you, at least in the northern
hemisphere, the racing season is over, and you are
probably winding down
and looking forward to some down time, some extra
desserts, maybe putting on a little winter "insulation,"
and
sleeping in without the guilty thought of whether you
can miss a workout here and there.
But . . . before you sit back and burrow into your
couch, think about the season's toll on your body.
How can you
best recover so that you can continue to enjoy the
sport for many seasons to come? The first 80 year
old just
finished IM Hawaii with 37 minutes to spare!

I have been using MAP for over a year now
and I can't be more thrilled with the results. I
wrapped up this season with first place finishes in my
age group at the Carnation Triathlon and the Akron
International Triathlon. What made it more impressive
was that the Carnation race was just one week after
a tough half Ironman — and I took nearly 10 minutes
off of last year's time! My recovery from workouts
and races has been truly astonishing.

| Can MAP be given to children? |
 |
Yes! MAP is good for children too! Did you
know that MAP was invented as nutritional
support for children dying
from protein malnutrition in Africa?
It was found that only a couple of tablets per day
would be the only factor necessary for a child dying
of protein
malnutrition to begin to grow, repair his immune
system and become healthy. Since many children and
teens do not eat
the optimum amount of protein to sustain normal
growth and healthy body function, MAP can be
added as a
supplement to their diet very easily. The dose to
replace their whole daily protein requirement is ½
tablet per 2.5
pounds of body weight per day. If they eat two
protein good meals than give 1/3 of this dose as a
supplement. For
children and teens that are involved in competitive
sports you will see the same increase in strength,
endurance and
recovery that occurs in adults. It is perfectly safe to
do this. They should take it before workouts as an
adult
would. For those who can’t swallow the pills, they
can be crushed and put into honey to help disguise
the bitter
taste.

Why Take a Multivitamin with Detoxification Support? |
|
|
|
Here are nine good reasons:
1. The food we eat is for the most part “mass
manufactured” and compared to 50 or 100 years ago,
depleted in
essential minerals, vitamins- and may have
genetically modified aspects which are very foreign
to our bodies.
2. Many people eat non foods like MSG,
saccharine, nutrisweet, splenda, artificial colorants
and flavors, that put
stress on our systems.
3. Almost all foods have pesticides, chemicals
(PCB’s, Dioxins), Fluorides, that come into our bodies
each day.
4. Most meats have antibiotic, hormone, and
chemical residues.
5. Most fish have mercury and chemical residues.
6. Even if we are drinking purified water, most of
us shower in water that is full of chemicals, or sit in
jacuzzi’s or swimming pools that are full of chemicals
that enter our system every day that must be dealt
with.
7. Our foods are contaminated with phthalates
from plastic wraps, Styrofoam, Tupperware, and non
stick coatings
from fry pans, that enter our system.
8. Our clothes, mattresses, and sheets, are full of
chemicals, flame retardants, preservatives, and anti
fungals,
that enter our bodies through the skin.
9. Our air is full of carbon monoxide,
petrochemicals, ...
