in Kona for MAP athletes. We were in Kona for
the Ironman World Championship. We met many,
many athletes there who are MAP users and who
told us what an important factor that MAP was in
their being able to qualify for Kona. Congrats to
MAP Team Members who are Ironman Age
group World Champions Cherie Gruenfeld and Alex

From Ted: Do you think it's worth it for me to
see a
bike fit specialist? I am riding comfortable but not sure
if it's the most efficient for me.

From Alex: Do you think speed work for
running is best
done all year, weekly? I am just coming off an IM a
month ago and am planning for Arizona. I want to
really be ready for that marathon so that I can look
forward to running it and run it well. This last race I
had to walk a lot. What would your game plan be to
this?

Running consistently day after day can put stress on a
person's ligaments, especially if they are long
distance runners like myself. What I like to do, to
prevent overuse is by incorporating other cardio
exercises to keep my muscles fresh and challenged a
couple days a week. By "surprising" my muscles, I feel
they will not only recover faster but I will still get in the
intense cardio workout I need.

Well, as predicted, I am only getting stronger and
leaner as time goes on. I am routinely doing sets of
20 or more pull-ups, my bench press has increased
dramatically, and my run times continue to improve. I
recently ran 5 miles in 34 minutes, and my weight is
down to around 206/7 without any loss of muscle
mass.
