Greetings,

MAP is a dietary supplement recommended for those individuals with inadequate amino acid intake. Additionally, it has an amino acid profile that provides 99% Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU), the highest among any dietary protein.

This month, Triathlete Magazine published my article on Protein Recovery for athletes. We have reprinted it for you here. I hope you enjoy it. By the way, MAP is not just for athletes. It's the most remarkable health supplement I have ever taken. You may find it works for you too. - David I. Minkoff, MD

"MAP is a great product. It has really helped me to recover from my hard workouts. Racing at a professional level in international competition like the Tour de France places extreme demands on one's body. To try to compete without attention to the best nutrition would be impossible. I take MAP because it helps to preserve my muscle strength and recovery, my immune system and my energy. I can recommend it highly." -George Hincapie

There is much debate among athletes and nutritionists about how to optimize protein nutrition. When proteins (or amino acids) are eaten, the body can utilize them to make new body proteins, or it can use such proteins for energy. When we speak of the quality of a protein, we are talking about how close that protein is in amino acid composition to an ideal protein. What is the ideal protein? It is that protein that would be completely used by the body for protein structure and not for calories for fuel. The term NNU, reflects the Net Nitrogen Utilization that ends up as protein in the body. This is the actual protein made into body structure and not for energy needs.

The Decreasing-Resistance Technique can be implemented alone or in combination with the Movement-Segmentation Technique.

The purpose of this technique is to vary the degree of weight resistance for a specific muscle group, beginning with the Maximum Resistance* and progressively decreasing to the minimum resistance. This technique can be used for any muscle-group exercise. *Maximum Resistance (MR) is the maximum weight that can be actively moved as a result of a muscle contraction (pull) or extension (push). Proceed as follows:

I started taking MAP on a Thursday and continued to take it Friday, Saturday and Sunday and ran Sunday with a group of guys. This group of guys has a couple of pro's running in it. I rank 7th nationally in my age group - elite master and I came in #3 of the group right after the two pro's.

Also, I've had pain in my hamstring muscle. When I come down on my right leg, the pain will radiate from the hamstring to the front shin area. When I ran Sunday (after taking MAP 4 days), I didn't have this hamstring pain.

Usually when I run, I limp about the first 1 ½ - 2 miles and the pain would go away but when I'd stop, the pain would come back. I've been training every day now and the pain hasn't come back. J.M. Ohio

Many athletes know that protein is an important element to the endurance athlete's recovery and health in warding off illness. But getting the maximum bang out of your protein source is the trick. A new product on the market suggests it does just that.

As a nutritionally oriented medical doctor, my goal is to restore or maintain optimum health for every person I see using natural remedies. A person in peak health can enjoy the competition of racing and training and can keep their youthful performance far beyond what most believe is possible. Often, I use my own body for testing. At 55, I'm not as fast as I used to be, but I am as intent on improving my performance as ever. I keep looking for things that make me feel better, give me better energy, faster recovery and more strength that I can pass along to others.

Just a few months ago, I found a supplement that was beyond anything that I have seen. After using it for four weeks...
