Please send your questions to DaveScott@BodyHealth.com .

    Dear Dave,
If I have only 15 hours a week to train for an IM race and I have about 8 months to get ready and I have done an IM a year for the last 5 years, how much time should I devote to each swim, bike, run, and weights?
    Thanks,
    Jeff S. - Tucson Arizona

    Dear Jeff,
Here is how I would break it down . . .

MAP user wins Mt. Taylor Winter Quadrathlon

The 75-kilometer race requires 4 disciplines - cycling, running, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing - to attain the 11,301’ summit of Mt. Taylor and back again. Nearly 5,000 vertical feet must be climbed and descended.

Steve teamed up with elite mountain runner, Lisa Goldsmith of Boulder, Colorado to win the Overall Pairs Championship in 4 hours and 1 minute. Steve also posted the fastest Ski Descent time of all racers enroute to their victory. . .

Wounded Army Ranger progress with MAP

MAP is helping me regain my strength and endurance each day. After getting my cast off only two short weeks ago, I am already able to do sets of 10 and 12 pull-ups as I go through my workout sessions.

Taking MAP throughout my recovery process has helped me to maintain a solid baseline of fitness as I did limited work with my right arm when it was injured...

What important organ in your body is not really an organ?

While few athletes ever consider it, one of the most important “organs” in our bodies is actually living within our large intestine. This organ weighs about 4 pounds and is made up of trillions of bacteria that live there and are a vital part of our physiology. In fact, there are more living cells among their ranks than those that make up the rest of our whole body. These bacteria form a vast ecosystem within us. And to a large extent, our own health is very much tied to their “health.”
