Dear Dave, I recall years back the stories about
what you ate. Washing cottage cheese, etc. What is
your current diet? What would be a typical breakfast,
lunch, dinner snacks?
I notice from the photos that you still look very lean and
very fit and at least 15 years younger that you are. Do
you count calories? Do you keep track of your body fat
percentage?
Your insights in this area would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Carl
Carl, Here's a quick update:
1. I have not eaten cottage cheese for 22
years! Rinsing reduced the sodium and fat content
and ABC was seemingly was interested in this odd
behavior. I've been labeled by the telecast for 22
years!!

| Update from Captain Ed (wounded in Iraq) |
 |
BioBuilde continues to amaze me. I have had my
cast off for a little more than a month and after a
couple of weeks taking it easy after the cast came off, I
am now back to close to 100% after only 3 full weeks
of working out. I am surely not where I'd like to be with
respect to my overall strength and endurance, but I am
getting closer every day.
I can do over 15 pull-ups and close to 60 push-ups
after only 3 weeks of full-tilt working out on my injured
arm. Only two weeks ago, I could barely muster 30 to
35 pushups at max effort. I can now do close to 60 in
one set, and have seen my overall body strength
increase with each passing week.

| Question about BioBuilde Usage |
 |
Recently while riding my bicycle, I had a tangle
with car. It won. I've got some injuries and want to
know how much BioBuilde to take to help with my
recovery? My weight is 120 pounds. I am taking 5
tablets twice a day. Is this enough? Should I take
more? What will help me recover the fastest?
Thanks, S.W.
Dear S.W,
The recommended dose of BioBuilde as a
supplement is 1-1.5 tablets per 40 pounds a day. This
is the minimum amount..
The therapeutic dose is 1 tablet per 5.5 pounds of
body weight (7.3 per 40 lbs) per day with a maximum
of 30 tablets per day. This is the amount needed for
total replacement of daily protein needs. This is the
suggested amount for maximum healing and
recovery.
Your weight is 120 pounds. At one tablet per 5.5
pounds you would take = 22 tablets per day as a
maximum. So you are well below that and probably
would get an even better effect if you . . .

| Team BioBuilde's Cherie Gruenfeld does it again |
 |
The 2006 racing season for me was an
athlete's worst nightmare. A bike crash in the
spring resulted in injuries that kept me grounded
through the fall. My physical activity was very limited,
but the one thing I continued was my BioBuilde
regime hoping to be strong when the time came to get
back.
In late October I started a Base Building program and
set my sights on Ironman Arizona in April '07.

A Lesson in Overcoming |
|
|

by Luis Alvarez
I won Ironman Arizona 2007! Yes, I won the Ironman,
and before I tell you how I did it let me leave you with
this phrase: "A man is not finished when he is
defeated, he is finished when he quits."
Only five minutes left to start Ironman Arizona, I
jumped into the water to get a good spot at the start
line and Ouch!!! I hit the rocks. I felt a big pain on the
bottom of my right foot and ankle. It felt bad and it
started to swell right away.
My first thought was to quit but then I thought that the
cold water could fix the swollen ankle during the 2.4
miles that the swimming will last and then I could take
care of the other injuries. The gun went off and I
began swimming . . .
Upon running to the transition I new that the injuries
on my feet and ankles were worse than I thought. I
didn't dare pay much attention to them and began
cycling. The foot pain was bearable but significant. I
was worried though about what would happen on the
run. . .
