Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP) Winner's Circle
Julia Peck
Winner at Eastern Mountain Sports Off-Road Triathlon - XTERRA (age group 45-49)
I just wanted to thank you for exposing me to your new product. I was first introduced to MAP at the Richmond East Coast Championship XTERRA. I took 4th place in my age group there, somewhat disappointed. However, life goes on. The following week I had to test for my 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.
This test was physically demanding on my 47-year-old body. However, being the athlete I am, I'm pleased to say I passed and proudly wear my new belt. I have to admit that during the final phase of my test, I suffered a major injury to my right arm trying to break a cinder block. I came down on this twice (against my better judgment) and finally broke it with my foot. My arm was swollen for days. I was unable to swim and bike for two weeks because any vibration on the arm hurt too much. I couldn't pull under water. I couldn't hold my handlebars!!
I was three weeks away from my next XTERRA event in Flintstone, MD (Rocky Gap State Park, July 18). I read all the brochures and testimonies on MAP for a day and eagerly ordered two bottles, hopeful this would help me heal and get back into training. I am very excited to share with you that after only 3 weeks of MAP my arm is better. I also won my age group at the XTERRA!!
I am convinced that MAP had a lot to do with my performance and health. I am usually a skeptic and unwilling to spend money on new things. This is a first for me. Thank you.
Update:
Today I won my age group at the Charlottesville Off Road Triathlon at Walnut Creek Park in Virgin i a. I won the 45 to 49 age group for women here on a pretty challenging course! Please note that even though my age group is not well populated, I am very pleased at how I am competing, passing young fellas on the bike course and run (at 47 this is kind of flattering).
One mile into the trail run I twisted my ankle and still managed to finish (my shoe laces were not tightened). The paramedic said I had a second-degree sprain — not sure what that means . . . didn't sound too good. I have been on MAP now through all the Xterrra events that I have won. I am still stoked at how I well I recover from long training runs, biking, and my brick workouts. I am not used to having the energy to train day after day.
MORE GOOD NEWS!!! I recently received an invitation to participate in the Xterra USA Championship at Lake Tahoe. I was told I was the Regional Winner for my age group in the Xterra Point Series . My region is the Mid Atlantic, which includes Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington D.C, Maryland, and Delaware. I am very, very happy about this. At 47 there aren't that many opportunities to participate in national status events. Nice things have been happening since MAP became a part of my training regimen.
UPDATE
I just won the Women's Masters division here at the YMCA Fall Duathlon in Virginia. This has been an incredibly successful year competing in multisports. Thanks for helping me through it. I look forward to a great year in 2005.
Thanks again for your support,
UPDATE
I'm back to brag about my age group win at the EMS XTERRA at Rocky Gap State Park, Flinstone , MD. I won this age group ( 45 - 49) last year and won it again this year. I was so pumped and even rode this awesome course the day before! I never ever do insane things like ride the course before the race ...I even felt so good post race that I did a training run the next day in the horrifying heat. Popped 7 pills 20 minutes b/4 race, 8 pills post race.
