The Science of Weight Loss
 For many, the challenge of losing weight is the most difficult of all. The combination of internal food cravings and environmental messages overwhelm the best intentions of even the most disciplined. It seems, that the appetite center is somehow off kilter, and when it should be content that the body has enough food for the time being, it is working overtime and shouting eat, eat, eat, starvation is at hand. This problem has led to overwhelming numbers of adults and children, with obesity, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.
A couple of years ago, I sat down and looked at all of the factors that I could think of to support someone who wanted to lose weight, but just could not do it successfully. We piloted several products and got one that worked like a dream for most people, but not everyone. We called it Healthy-Thin. So we have continued to work on it and improve it. The first thing was to overcome an appetite out of control. What could safely be given to do this? When I looked around I wanted something that had been used in cultures for a long time and was not some pharmaceutical that had very little life experience. We found Hoodia , a cactus found in Africa and has been used by natives for many centuries. These natives would often chase their prey for days with little or no food. To suppress their hunger they would chew on this cactus. It has substances in it that fool the brain into thinking it is full. It is a natural appetite suppressant and tells the appetite center, "stop prodding for more food." It is very safe. The most difficult problem with Hoodia is to find a source that is actually active. There are lots of varieties of Hoodia that don't do much. We tested products from 23 suppliers before we could find one that was very high potency and will have you wondering, why don't I feel hungry?! Most of the Hoodia on the shelf in stores and from the internet are varieties of low potency or no potency and don't work. The Hoodia in Healthy-Thin is active (by very sophisticated lab analysis) and has the exact molecular make up to turn off the appetite center.
Then we had the problem of people whose metabolism has fallen asleep and for whatever reason will not wake up. Ordinary weight loss remedies use harmful stimulants like ephedra and caffeine to do this, but this leaves the persons adrenal glands in the pits. We discovered the Brazilian plant known as Cha De Bugre. It is loaded with potassium, allantoin and allantoic acid which help to increase the metabolism and suppress the appetite. Probably the biggest problem facing the doctor in dealing with the overweight person is getting the body to respond to glucose in a normal way. For many, the high load of sugars and carbs coming into the body for many years has crammed the cells full of so much sugar that they refuse to take any more. So the person eats some cake or a coke and his blood sugar goes way high, and the blood wants to get rid of this sugar and dump it into the cells and the cells are already full. So the blood sugar can't go anywhere and it stays high. What can we do about this?
There are two important pieces that we added to Healthy-Thin to deal with this problem. The first is McB-E60.
McB-E60 is a unique herb from the Amazon that has been shown to increase the utilization of glucose (blood sugar), which in turn promotes cellular energy and weight loss. Initial studies completed with McB-E60 reported that after 3 months of its continuous use, blood glucose levels tended to normalize even when one stopped taking the herb. This suggests that McB-E60 may help restore pancreatic beta-cell activity. During this trial, cholesterol and triglycerides improved with the improved glucose regulation.
