"How our daughter became a living miracle that blossomed right before our eyes"

I wanted to write our success story of how our daughter became a living miracle that blossomed right before our eyes in just seven months. It all started in January 2004. Our youngest child was two and a half at the time. Two qualified individuals diagnosed her with high-functioning autism. Her pediatrician told us it was genetic, and that the only thing we could do for her was speech and occupational therapy. He indicated that if we tried anything else, it would be a waste of our money.

My husband and I wouldn't settle for that and searched diligently for information on available treatments. My husband read many books on autism, and learned that allergy can play a role in this. We heard your clinic had experience in these treatments and decided to come over and see if it would help our child, even though LifeWorks Wellness Center was roughly an hour and a half from our home. When we arrived, the doctor performed kinesiology on our daughter and prescribed allergy elimination treatments, supplements, Metal Free, and lab work.

Throughout the seven months, our daughter completed all of the recommendations, which included a total of 40 allergy elimination treatments. Before we began treatments, our daughter always had a runny nose, screamed a lot, would bang her head or flap her hands.

She would fixate her eyes on an object and go round and round. She had no eye contact, we thought she was deaf, and her pain tolerance was very high. She also had mushy stools, was silent - the list goes on and on, all showing clear signs that she was on the spectrum of autism.

After just one allergy treatment, her appetite tripled. She pushed her dinner plate away one day and said, "All done." Words started to appear for the first time. We went through a short period of regression during treatments, which we attribute to her body detoxifying. But we continued with treatments, and eventually her words started to flow.

She now understands commands, thrives around typical developing children, imitates her peers, and has great eye contact. She even plays games with her sister now.

The biggest eye opener for us is that our once-distant daughter seems to be a part of this world again. She wants to be held and her personality has started to appear. Plus, she hasn't had a runny nose since January. This is even after starting preschool and being around several preschoolers!

Today, our daughter is three, and it has been seven months since we began treatments. My husband and I comment that the cloud has lifted. In fact, it is almost unrecognizable that she was ever on the spectrum. Her speech therapist can attest to this.

We attribute much of our daughter's success to LifeWorks Wellness Center and their loving and knowledgeable staff, and the allergy elimination treatments. We thank God for leading us to LifeWorks Wellness Center and for the success we've had in our daughter's recovery.
