You probably know that protein is an important dietary requirement, but are you aware how it's made? Well, without amino acids there would be no protein. It takes 22 amino acids to make the 50,000 different proteins we must have to be healthy. On its own, the body can manufacture 14 of those amino acids. So how do we get the other eight? From our diet - these are what are known as "essential amino acids".
What is the best source of essential amino acids? Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP), 99% utilized by the body to make protein. – no other form of protein comes close! Order now
The eight essential amino acids:
Tryptophan encourages the release of serotonin and melatonin.
Lysine deficiency can result in a deficiency in niacin (Vitamin B). It is beneficial in treating and preventing herpes.
Methionine supplies sulphur and other compounds required by the body for normal metabolism and growth.
Valine is needed for muscle metabolism, tissue repair, and for the maintenance of proper nitrogen balance in the body.
Leucine stimulates muscle protein synthesis and may be the major fuel involved in anabolic (tissue building) reactions.
Isoleucine is important for blood sugar regulation, muscle development and repair and energy regulation.
Threonine is important for antibody production. It can be converted into glycine and serine.
Phenylalanine stimulates certain hormones including adrenaline and noradrenaline, which are activating substances in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
“I am not an athlete. I am a mom with two children. One is only a month old. I first took MAP at the advice of my doctor to help me with healing after my recent delivery, and so that I did not get depleted from nursing my baby. I have noticed since I started taking MAP that I can get a longer, restful sleep. I think my overstressed adrenals are finally getting some repair time, not to mention the rest of my body.” A.C . Amino Acid Supplements
Amino acids are required on a daily basis to build protein and maintain optimum health. Without sufficient protein, the body either let's cells die or breaks down other muscles and tissues to get the protein it needs.
There are conditions that deplete our reserves of protein and require us to increase our intake of amino acids. Physical and emotional stress, illness, injury, surgery or skipping meals means the body will need more amino acids than can be gained from food alone, especially in people with a poor diet. In these situations, we must ensure we get sufficient protein, and MAP is the best way to do that.
We can truly say that no other amino acid source compares with MAP.
* MAP BPS/min is 99% NNU/ 23 min. By comparison the most nutritious dietary proteins and protein supplements have BPS/min of 16-32% NNU/180-360 min. This means that the BPS/min of dietary proteins and protein supplements is 24 to 96 times lower compared to MAP .
