2010
XTERRA Charlottesville, August 22, 2010
On August 14, 15 I raced 2 Triathlons. Setup Events hosted an Olympic distance and a Sprint distance triathlon. I rec'd a special award for doing them both!! Yah MAP ! . This is not the first time. But what is a first for me this year, is racing again the following weekend , making a very last minute decision to do a Mountain Bike Triathlon ( xterra ) to end the season and clinch my 6th XTERRA Regional Title for the Mid Atlantic . It was only the day before that I realized I needed one more XTERRA event to clinch the REGIONAL TITLE for the Mid Atlantic. Yah!! I was able to come into this event completely recovered from the dual Triathlon weekend (where I also won my age group on the International the first day ! - I held back the 2nd day just a bit, but still placed in top 3!!! ) Thanks to your Master Amino Acid Pattern product !!!

I have been so confident of your MAP product and how it has helped me recover successfully in between training and races. I will take up to 8 pills , 25 minutes b4 my swim start...and I head to transition right after I finish the race to follow up with 9 more pills for a complete recovery. MAP has not let me down. I have been a MAP user for almost 10 years now. .I order a case at a time and share with my clients. I train, encourage and motivate others to reach their peak . I am consistent in my training, I am currently teaching 4 intense group exercise classes by Les Mills called BODY COMBAT. I was the oldest training for this certification 4 years ago. I took on a 4th class in 2009 and have grown this program by consistently teaching it myself. I have taken only a few days off for vacation or races. I use MAP between classes to recover completely for the next day. It is integral to my regimen . When I am out of MAP, I am knocking on doors of clients who I know have extra bottles - :) When I am out of MAP , I keep training but there is a big difference in how I feel. Double racing over a weekend would not happen for me. Thanks again for setting up your tent at an XTERRA event in Richmond years ago . I have not seen you all there since, but I found you and would not have known about this had it not been for your setup there. !! :)
Xterra East Champ,Richmond June 20, 2010
My first race this spring was with Setup Events at the Kinetic Sprint Triathlon., I placed a surprisingly third here coming back from an early spring knee injury --- :( This was a trial to see how my knee would hold up - I held back. I was diagnosed with a possible Torn Meniscus on observation only. I can't afford an MRI and have no insurance, just health "coverage"...I am very blessed for my health and for the products I can still afford to use , such as MAP . (I order the cases)

My first big attempt to race again was at the XTERRA EAST Championship in Richmond this summer on June 20, 2010. . This is a very tough Mountain bike triathlon event..It is one of 8 across the nation. but I always need this to get me ahead in the age group rankings for the regional title :) The swim in unpredictable, currents can be strong in the James River...or water level could be so low, we have to swim..crawl..walk on water...it can be dangerous. The mountain bike is challenging with roots and rock gardens and many hills. The 10K run is very challenging -- you climb rocks, ladders, bridges, more roots, gravel and trenches. Love it!! So happy to win this age group, that qualified me for the Xterra World Championships in Maui, come Fall 2010, and also for the Inaugural World ITU Cross Championships in Spain , April 2011 . I took my trusty bottle of MAP to use before and after the race....and again 6 hours later. Monday - Thursdays I teach an intense Cardio Kickboxing called BODY COMBAT. I am one of the oldest at my gym teaching this intense group fitness class- and for the past 4 years !! Yah!! MAP has been helpful in my recovery in between : D
2009
Winner at The Reston Sprint Triathlon (age group 50-54)
Reston Sprint was held May 30, 2009 in Reston, VA. This event sells out every year in the 1st hour it is on line ~ It was an awesome win for me. Preceding this weekend I had a very busy kickbox week, long bike ride , an intense Friday night kickbox workout, a Saturday afternoon wedding on my feet the whole time!!
I couldn't sleep a wink..due to a storm, lightning, & thunder.. I was so tired from lack of sleep, and thought that would cost me...however.. .I know from consistent use of MAP that I was ready for this. Lack of sleep would be the least of my worries ... Every day I use MAP and it has become so 2nd nature that I know my "muscles' are getting the necessary "protien" nutrients needed to recover in between workouts , guaranteeing a "ready to race" mindset on race day.
Some cool news. I am now competing as a Semi-Pro on a new team in my hometown. How many (51) year old women can beam about that :) I have high hopes of qualifying for the 5th time for the Xterra Nationals In Ogden Utah. The Xterra Point Series kicks off for me June 14 in Richmond, VA

Winner at Rumpass in Bumpass Triathlon (age group 50-54)
Rumpass at Bumpass was a double TRI event held April 18, 2009 weekend at Lake Anna in Virginia. An International distance Triathlon that I decided last minute to race. Confident of my athletic fitness, I registered that morning .I never sign up last minute!!! Leading up to this event I' had very little "sport specific " training due to classes I teach at a local gym., Intense kickboxing , 4 days a week...can wear on a normal 51 year old, ...I'm glad I"m not that! I've been using MAP for over 4 years now .M.A.P. is part of my daily regimen, whether I train or not. It is integral to my Kickbox recovery and w/o it I don't think I could have made a last minute decision to jump into an International distance Triathlon, win the age group and be on my merry way! Thanks again!
2007
Winner at
Angel Sprint Triathlon
(age group 50-54)
Coming into 2008 with a strong finish in 2007, I feel optimistic about 2008! The Angel Sprint Triathlon was a super way to start my season for many reasons: This event has a warm spiritual climate, and very friendly atmosphere.. We race to honor fallen "Angels and Heroes" that have touched our lives.
For me it is my father who passed away over 6 years ago - we lost him to prostate cancer. My dad taught me how to swim during his foreign service years overseas. I was probably around 5. We lived in Africa then and had a very small pool. I thank my dad for gettting my "feet wet" and always supporting my goals..This race had a few technical climbs . MAP is a big part of my training and racing regimen - even for the short sprint events!
